My best arts experience occurred in 2010 when I formed a band with some friends. It was my first band, and to date only band, but the other members had been around music since the 90s.
We managed to write several songs, play numerous gigs and have 2 releases. While I was often nervous before we played, by the end of a few songs I found my groove and people really started to enjoy what we were playing.
Unfortunately the band disbanded recently due to a key member leaving Australia for work purposes.
Here is a photo from our very first gig from Devonport. We played with a few friends' bands and had a fantastic time. I believe in this photo we were covering Black Flag's classic song 'Rise Above'.
